Opportunity to apply to become a Non-Executive Director
Each year, the Anchor Board considers what skills and experience it needs in order to best deliver Anchor鈥檚 charitable and strategic objectives. The Board aims to make sure our residents have a real voice and influence over the decisions which we make.
We already have a variety of ways in which the Board listens to residents. For example, by meeting the Residents鈥 Council, visiting locations, carrying out surveys and looking at satisfaction and complaints data.
We would like to add to this by appointing a Board member who is also an Anchor resident.
The person we are looking for will have the same responsibilities as everyone else on the Board, so will need to have a balance of skills and experience as well as being an Anchor resident.
The role is now being advertised on our recruitment website here: and provides more information about what we are looking for. If you鈥檙e unable to access this, please speak to your Location Manager who can share a copy of the application form and application pack.
You do not need experience of every single criterion listed. In a well-balanced Board, everyone brings something unique and together we cover all of the Board鈥檚 responsibilities. For this role, however, you do need to be an Anchor resident with a current tenancy.
We will provide comprehensive training and support for the new Board member and a thorough induction process before they take up the role.
Information sessions
We will be holding two 鈥Anchor Board 鈥 More Information鈥 sessions which will take place on Microsoft Teams, where you can find out more about what the role entails.

If you are interested in attending either of these sessions, please email [email protected] and we will ensure you receive the Microsoft Teams calendar invitation.
If you see this message after the 7 May, please email [email protected],uk and we can share a recording of the session.
If you鈥檙e excited about this opportunity, we鈥檇 love to hear from you! Please submit your application by Friday 30th May 2025.
